who are in third, fourth, fifth, or sixth grade.

RIF Rodeo
This year the theme for our RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) is a RIF Rodeo. At our first distribution in January, the students were read the book, Click, Clack, Moo, Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin. Following the story, the student participated in a rodeo. Students were divided into two teams. Then each team member took a turn either riding or pulling a cow or horse across the library. Once on the other side of the library, they collected a letter of the alphabet. As the teams collected the alphabet, in order, they practiced their alphabetical skills. It was a fun week. Following this activity, students in first and third grades chose a RIF book to take home for their very own. Book Club
Our fourth and fifth grade book club will be reading the book, Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School, and Other Scary Things by Lenore Look. Students who elect to join the club need to sign up for the club. Books will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
