TAKS TESTS
The TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) exams will be administered on the following dates:
Tuesday, April 6, 2010 - 5th grade math
Wednesday, April 7, 2010 - 5th grade reading
Tuesday, April 27, 2010 - 3rd and 4th grades math
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 - 3rd and 4th grades reading
Thursday, April 29, 2010 - 5th grade science
Tuesday, May 18, 2010 - 5th grade math (retest)
Wednesday, May 19, 2010 - 5th grade reading (retest)
Please make sure that your children get plenty of rest the night before each exam and have a stress-free morning.

back on campus. Both our morning assembly
and our evening birthday bash
were a huge success. We couldn't have

The National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA) recognized
Crockett Elementary
as part of its 2009
Just for the Kids Campaign
for higher performing schools in Texas.
The NCEA recognized Crockett Elementary
at a reception in Austin on January 19, 2010.
Crockett received this award based on
our students' outstanding performance
on the fifth grade science TAKS test last school year.
WAY TO GO CROCKETT STUDENTS AND STAFF
State Traffic Law in Effect
State law prohibits using cell phones
while driving in a school zone.
Please follow the law and help keep our children safe.
Student Technology Contest
The new Student Technology Contest is now open.
Students are encouraged to participate in the contest.
